Mbye Njie was born in Serekundah, The Gambia and moved to Macon, Ga at the age of 7. He attended Central High School where he graduated from the IB program, and went on to attend college in North Carolina at Davidson College. After college, he worked in sales for 10 years before deciding to start his own company that deals with technology and social justice issues. After seeing the fallout from the Michael Brown case, and pulling from his own personal experiences with law enforcement, he came up with the idea for the Legal Equalizer app. He currently resides in Atlanta and is fully committed in the fight for liberty and justice for all.
