The 112th United States Congress convenes tomorrow and it is sure to be the opening of a nightmare congressional session for this country. Daryl Issa, Oversight and Government Reform Chair, is blatantly inviting Big Business to tell us how they want to be regulated. The "Porker of the Month", Hal Rogers, is now in charge of Appropriations. Pro-war Buck McKeon is now the Armed Services Committee Chair. The Representative best known for supporting massive tax cuts for the wealthy, privatizing Social Security and cutting Medicare, Paul Ryan, is now in charge of forming a budget. To make our neighbors wish the U.S. would move to another planet, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who believes we should assassinate Castro and any other world leaders we don't like, is now head of Foreign Affairs. Peter King who blames everything on radical Muslims, but supports the IRA, an organization at the top of the U.S. terrorist list, is head of Homeland Security. And, that's only a few of the players...........wait ‘til you see the game plan. How about completely tying the government up in destructive, time-wasting gobbledy-goop, until the 2012 elections?
