Many scholars asserted over the years that the Native American cultures never invented or used the wheel. They often cite this as evidence that no technical or cultural diffusion ever occurred. Yet wheeled toys and wheel models have come to light indicating clear knowledge of construction and utility of the wheel. Also: archaeological news, AC update, Possum Holler news, etc.
