I've said more than a few times that America cannot move on from our horrible racist legacy if we keep ignoring it. Funny or not so funny thing about our racist elephant is that the more we ignore it the larger it becomes. Pretty soon there will not be room enough for it and us; and we'll be forced to confront it. Imagine now that our room has more elephant in it that people. Can’t see the--smell-- the mess? Ewwww! So, let’s stop pretending, face it, and begin cleaning it up. Intellectually we know that facing our painful shame is NEVER as bad as it seems in our minds, but emotionally we still can’t do it. I’m here to help; let's talk family. See you at the kitchen table, 11:30am, CST.
