In this special episode of ODWIRA, we examine the nature of the Krada, Soul-Day (birthday) and the importance of one divining their own Head Divinity/Deity. Alignment with the Okra/Okraa (Soul) is key to emotional, mental and spiritual groundedness and stability. In Akan culture, the day of the week we are born on is governed by the Abosom (Deities) who animate the solar, lunar or planetary body which governs the day. The day that we are born into the world is an indication to the community of which Obosom (Deity) the child was assigned to pre-incarnation. This Obosom (Deity) governs the Okra or Okraa (Soul) of the individual. The Okra or Okraa (Ka and Kait in Kamit, Ori Inu in Yoruba, Se Lido in Vodoun), the Soul, is a Deity dwelling within the head region of Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans~Black People) exclusively.

Our 7-day week was established by ancient Akanfo in Khanit (Nubia) and taken into the Near East thousands of years later.

We also examine how this tradition has been maintained in the blood-circles of Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) in the west including Hoodoo (Akan), Juju (Yoruba), Voodoo (Ewe, Fon), Wanga (Ovambo, Gullah) and Ngengang (Fang).

We examine our books:
