In January 1999, he became a regular on the all-news cable channel TXCN where he hosted  "Texas Legends in Business with David Johnson". David joined Public Radio's "MARKETPLACE" program during its inaugural season in 1989 and for 20 years was a regular contributor on the program heard by over 8 million listeners on almost 400 radio stations around the world.
