Pastors across the country have been called on by The Department of Homeland Security to join “Clergy Response Teams.” Their function is to placate and control the people in the event of national or local emergencies, including Marshal Law. Clergy Response Teams are expected to use Romans 13:1 to make Christians compliant to government dictates even if obeying means facing harm. The verse commands: "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."
