Sports are an integral part of our schools – especially in our high schools. The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) has been in existence since 1918 and regulates interscholastic competition in New Jersey’s schools. In this podcast, NJSBA host Ray Pinney will discuss the mission of NJSIAA with Larry White, the organization’s executive director and Steven Shohfi, NJSIAA second vice president and at-large representative from NJSBA.  Our conversation will cover a far-ranging assortment of issues, including the role of sports in our schools; the training of coaches; student safety concerns including concussions, opioids and steroids; and how NJSIAA is governed.
