As the supplies of petroleum dwindle through the upcoming few decades, the use of nuclear power to generate electricity will increase as much as 100 percent. China alone plans to bring on hundreds of new reactors, and a significant amount of new construction is planned in India, Brazil and even potentially the United States. George Jarkesy will discuss a brief history of the Nuclear Power industry over the last 40 years. We will examine the OPEC price shocks of the 1970's through Three Mile Island and Chernobyl to the present day France, where 80% of power is generated through Nuclear Energy. In our second segment George will discuss the uranium market specifically, and how long term macroeconomic forces may drive this commodity significantly higher in the future.
