Tom Peters once made the statement to the effect of, "Every six months throw up your jacks and see where they land." It's good to revisit your network at least twice a year and ask the hard questions such as: 1) who is in your network who is not exchanging some type of support with you regularly, 2) who is out there who you have had on your radar screen but perhaps not approached and 3) who should you be connecting with more who has been exchanging effectively but you just have confused "activity with accomplishment" and have been too busy networking and not effectively "Networlding." Jocelyn and I will talk about companies who are doing well by triading. In Tribal Leadership: Leveraging Natural Groups to Build a Thriving Organization By Dave Logan, John Paul King, Halee Fischer-Wright, the authors share that students in business school often ask why someone has not shared the details of triading before and that it makes so much sense. We'll talk about the process and what you can do to make triading a way of life for you and your company.
