God's Spirit Poured Out and Restoring Damaged Lives through God's Agent

When God said He would pour out His Spirit, He meant just that; the Holy Spirit is God's Agent of Restoration to restore damaged lives. God's work of restoration is a work of the Holy Spirit in and through the lives of those who have believed in Jesus and have been born again according to John 3:3. The prophet Joel foretold a day when God would pour out His Spirit "on all flesh" [Joel 2:28, 29]. God's power through His Holy Spirit would be shared with all His people and not limited to one chosen individual. Titus 3:5, 6 reveals how salvation, which is the regeneration of the human spirit and the cleansing that makes the new man acceptable to God, is the work of the Holy Spirit.  As the world order is falling apart, "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" [Joel 2:31, 32].
