“Thousands of forest fires are burning across the United States, Canada and Alaska right now. Some are caused by human negligence while others from natural causes brought on by Mother Nature; all having a devastating affect on the forests and surrounding areas near them. Or do they? While we can see the immediate damage fires leave in their wake, there is life that springs from the ashes and begins the cycle of renewal that has repeated for as long as this planet has been spinning around the sun. In todays show we will examine what is lost and what is gained after a forest has been wiped cleaned by a fire.”
