New Hope for a Common Health Problem – Recovery after Stroke

Modern medicine has enabled increasing numbers of stroke victims and those who have sustained a traumatic brain injury to live longer lives.  Sadly, many of these people live restricted lives due to the debilitating nature of the aftereffects.  Is there any new hope for stroke victims and others who have sustained brain injuries?  Diane Brandon, your Host and Author of Intuition for Beginners, is joined this week by Barbara Schacker, a Speech Therapy and Recovery Specialist, as well as Co-Founder of Speech Recovery and Stroke Family.  Ms. Schacker has worked in speech recovery for some time and created the first Natural Voice Software.  To her surprise, she was called upon to apply her work in a very personal way, to help her husband recover his speech after a brain injury.  Her work  and the approach she uses, the Sensory Trigger Method, hold great promise for many people.
