Voting Then and Now: Race and the Ballot Box

On November 2nd, voters will go to the polls to elect our next round of Politicians. Voting was not an automatic right given to African Americans, especially in the South. It was not something automatically given to women either. However, white women were not subject to beatings and death for the right to vote. There is no excuse not to exercise your right to vote, and to know those in your community who represent you.
