Martha Redbone,renowned Native American musician and supporter of Man Up Campaign, www.manupcampaign.org invites all yg leaders to an exciting summit @ the World Cup Soccer Tournament in South Africa this summer to stop violence against women & girls.Man Up Campaign is bringing together a diverse group of up to 200 women & men(ages 18-30yrs)from 50 countries to launch our movement.This international forum is the first of its kind to develop capacity & technical expertise among yg people of both genders,who are committed to stopping violence against women and girls (VAW).To ensure that a Native American delegation is represented at our Summit,we have extended our deadline for applications to Sat.,Feb. 20th. He is Choctaw-Chickasaw & has been w/the National Congress of American Indians for over 18 years & currently serves as Deputy Director.He has worked on various issues for the NCAI including tribal homeland security & emergency management programs & policy implementation.He has worked w/ Federal Emergency Management Agency in developing emergency management courses for tribal government officials taking into consideration tribal community infrastructure & cultural considerations. He has been communicating w/ tribal responders and tribal officials from those tribes impacted by recent weather related disasters including the Dakotas & the southwest.
