We will also be remembering our own fathers who have passed on & acknowledge those who never knew their fathers or had little contact. Absolutely! Since our area does not get many thunderstorms when compared to many other parts of the country, citizens are not very 'lightening proficient'. Hence, we tend to get more lightning 'incidents' here per capita than other areas in the country. Here is a stat - we average one lightning fatality in Washington every 5 years and several lightening injuries each year. Did you know that? I'll bet your listeners don't either.
