Arizona’s immigration law SB1070 was enacted last April, touching off a firestorm of controversy and outcry from the Hispanic community. Since then people have marched in protests, waged boycotts and mounted campaigns against the law. NAHREP Chair Alex Chaparro and Co-founder Ernie Reyes tackle this subject and what it means to NAHREP members and the Hispanic homebuyers they serve. Ali Noorani, Executive Director of the National Immigration Forum and Clarissa Martinez, Director of NCLR’s Immigration Policy and National Campaigns are featured guests and will share their perspectives on the law and what their respective organizations are doing to counter it.
