"The best thing we can do is be a servant of God. It does good to stand up and serve others."  Rev Fred L. Shuttlesworth, Mar 18, 1922 · Oct 05, 2011

My Specail Guest is Mrs. Ruby Shuttlesworth Bester, the second oldest daughter of the Late Civil Rights Icon Rev Fred L. Shuttlesworth.   Ruby Shuttlesworth Bester, is a Retired Educator, Motivational Speaker, Author, Singer and I'm giving her the title of a Community Social Activist.  Ruby Shuttlesworth is always at the forefront of historic moments and movements and works tirelessly to keep HIStory Alive.

Today March 7, 2021, marks the 56th Annivesary of the Historic march across the Edmunds Pettus Bridge, in Selma, Alabama.  Due to the pandemic the march is virtual honoring the great soilders that were beaten, clubbed, bitten by dogs and hosed as they marched across that bridge in 1965.  Ruby Shuttlesworth Bester, will share some highlights of growing up in the family of a Giant Civil Right's Leader, her Father Rev Fred L. Shuttlesworth.

Rev Fred Shuttlesworth fought against racism and segregation as a minister in Birmingham, Alabama.. For many years, he fought alongside other greats like Martin Luther King Jr.
