Segment 1 - The Five Percenters

In our first episode of Musings on Life, we talk to Sharif Shakur, a Brooklyn native, who grew up during the creation and surge of the Five Percenters, an off-shoot of the Nation of Islam. Today, a Sunni Muslim, Shakur reflects on the movement and the role it played in the lives of many Brooklyn youth in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
