Los Angeles based alternative rock band ACIDIC’s new album Getting Lucky, a follow-up to their 2009’s debut album Ironic Dreams, was released nationwide on Tuesday, March 23rd. Getting Lucky is produced by powerhouse duo The Wizardz of Oz (Andrew Bojanic and Liz Hooper) who have previously worked with such artists as Liz Phair and Avril Lavigne.

Following their debut performance at South by Southwest in March, ACIDIC plans a Summer 2010 tour in support of the new album.

ACIDIC consists of lead singer and guitarist Michael Gossard, guitarist Michael Thompson, bassist Ted Dubrawski and drummer Matt Whitaker. Gossard, the band’s primary songwriter, has known Dubrawski since elementary school. The two started performing together in their high school rock band (Crespi Carmelite High School) before Gossard formed ACIDIC his freshman year. In 2008 Whitaker joined the group as the band’s drummer. Thompson, a sophomore at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, joined the band this year.

ACIDIC has built a rapidly growing fan base, playing at legendary venues such as The House of Blues on Sunset, Whisky A Go-Go, The Knitting Factory, The Palmer House, The Derby, The Canyon Club and Bamboozle Left Festival. ACIDICs live show features original melodic music and lyrics and high energy performances.
