With my co-hosts Heidi and Dave on a well-deserved vacation, frequent caller Dave Hamilton - a/k/a Dave From Massachusetts - will be my guest host on Tuesday.

This episode will be the first of a long line of oral history conversations I've been wanting to do for a while, talking to ordinary people about their experiences and how they remember and were effected by histoical events that happened in their lifetimes.

Please call 347-850-8445 to join the conversation.

About our guest:

Dave Hamilton calls himself the ultimate baby boomer, Vietnam War boy. Raised in Indiana, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and New Jersey. In 1969 Dave graduated from Villanova University, "Magna Cum Barely".

After the US Army as a medic who was lucky and avoided Vietnam, Dave moved to Massachusetts and held a variety of sales and marketing jobs. In the early nineties he returned to Hong Kong with his wife and family, and moved back to Massachusetts in 1994. Dave retired a little over a year ago, working part-time which he believes beats both not working and working full time.

Dave's politics are clearly left of center since being a Goldwater Girl. He has voted for GOP governors but not recently. Never voted for a GOP presidential candidate. Did vote for Ed Brooke, only GOP senate vote.

Dave considers his public school teacher children his greatest accomplishment.
