Supporting Our Native Men: Exploring the male psyche, gender sensitivities, relationship accountabilities and commitment in a growing environment that challenges their roles. What does that mean for women? Does he choose a good life with her? Is he a kind man?

 

   Dr. Paula du Hamel Yellow Horn, is the Ontario and Quebec Ambassador for ‘From Stilettos to Moccasins Project’ University of Saskatchewan supported by grants from CIHR, CCSA, and NNAPF. Professor and Indigenous Centred Socio-Educational Counselor in Social Work and governments ~ Consultant in Indian residential schools inter and intra generational traumas, colonization psycho-social traumas, PTSD and AOD.

Utilizes CBT, CISM, CISD, SFBT, and NT. She is Adjunct Professor, and Research Professor in the School of Social Work, Carleton University and Adjunct Professor with The University of Quebec UQAT in Northern Quebec.

Dr. du Hamel Yellow has taught with Queen’s University, Saint Paul University, UOttawa and UCalgary.
