September 25th-National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims provides an opportunity for the people of the United States to honor the memories of murder victims.

Some 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Guest: Shira Goodman is the Executive Director of CeaseFirePA, Pennsylvania’s largest gun violence prevention organization which partners with mayors, police chiefs, faith leaders, community organizations and individual Pennsylvanians working together to take a stand against gun violence.

Guest:Latrina Kelly-James is curently Equal Justice USA’s (EJUSA) Grassroots Capacity Building Specialist providing capacity building and advocacy tools to community organizations working with young men of color and Black and Brown communities who’ve experienced victimization, with a goal of increasing equity within federal victim services.
