"Joyous Word"

 The Son’s of Israel brought into existence in 2006, when a couple of brothers noticed that there was not a male chorus singing at Israel Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio. There seemed to be many talented males that sung in the regular choir, but no male chorus that showed the talents of just men. The original members of the group were Lawrence Fields, Adrian Jackson, Kenneth Maurice Mattox, and John Williams. These four men came together and began to blend their voices to songs that enriched not only their hearts but their souls. These brothers prayed over their decision to becoming a singing group and after much more prayer and discussion, we unanimously voted to continue as a group and choose our current name. After a few practices, these brothers approached our former Pastor, Ronald Davis to ask for an opportunity to sing during a Sunday morning service and to their amazement the Pastor honored their request. After singing during that Sunday morning service, the group was joyfully asked by Pastor Davis to consider providing the music for the morning service on the third Sunday of each month. We graciously accepted the opportunity, and have uplifted downtrodden heads and hearts ever since that third Sunday. In the meantime, two other brothers from Israel Baptist Church inquired about becoming a part of our group. After further discussion and prayer it was decided that Clifford Sneed, Jr. and Christopher Kimble would become members of the “Son’s of Israel”. The group has been together for several years now and has traveled to sing for different occasions as far north as Detroit, Michigan and as far south as Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Lord has continued to bless the Son’s of Israel and our hope and prayer is that we continue to bless and uplift heads, and strengthen those who need a song in their heart.
