"Joyous Word"

Darris Sneed is a vibrant young man from Cincinnati, Ohio. From the early age of three, Darris has shown a gift in drawing people in with his passion for singing. His parents, seeing this gift, put him in vocal and piano lessons as a child. He sang with the Cincinnati Boychoir and developed an understanding of some of the techniques that affect his singing ability today.

His love for music grew into his teenage years when he began to lead worship at his home church, New Life Temple. From the ages of 11 to 18, Darris led at his home church and his high school, Cincinnati Christian Academy. In high school, Darris was blessed with the opportunity to showcase his voice with his high school’s electric jazz orchestra and tour in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and throughout the United States. He also used this time in high school to hone his songwriting abilities, often performing his original music for his church family and peers. Preparing to leave for college, Darris truly felt a pull on his life to use his gift as a skilled musician and singer in the church.
