JUDITH A. YATES, True Crime Writer: The Devil You Know

Join me tonight as I talk with true crime writer Judith A. Yates. Her new book, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW discusses the murder of 12-year-old Bradley "Brad" Maddux. 

Sweet, lovable, helpful Brad was brutally murdered by a distant family member - THE DEVIL HE KNEW. Someone who lied, lured, tortured and murdered this trusting young man, who was really, still just a boy. 

The killer, the devil - Douglas Sims was arrested, convicted and sentence while showing no remorse for his actions.

He did try to get clemency for his crime. He actually wanted to get out of prison early and go back an live in Westport, Indiana, the small community of barely over 1,500 people, where he committed this horrific crime. HOWEVER, HE WAS DENIED.
