The last show we had on the subject of racism was great but I'm saddened that we only had ONE white person , who hung up abruptly, voice an opinion on the subject. Now I want to try this on a new scale. I want to open up this discussion by *discussing* a topic that made news (EVERYWHERE BUT ON FOX) in the media. A mayor from Arlington, TN. posted, on his facebook account, how upset he was that during "A Charlie Brown Christmas" the Presidential Address interrupted the show. The Mayor, Russell Wiseman, then goes into a rant that leads him to call President Obama "The Muslim President", telling thoes of us who voted for him that we should move to a Muslim Country. Then he references old school wordings from the Forefathers of this country's Constitution that state that only property owners had the right to vote and that it basically shouldn't have changed. We know that when our Forefathers were alive, so was slavery. So in essence, he was implying that blacks shouldn't have the right to vote in America because we put Obama there. (FORGETTING that the majority of Obama's voters were WHITE!) Are there any questions you wish to ask blacks/ whites that you may be confused about? Let's talk about this and get to the bottom of it once and for all. What are the common misconceptions about blacks in America? What are the common misconceptions about blacks in America? Will there ever be tolerance of others' religions in this country or should everyone just become Christian to appease "the forefathers"? Let's talk about it!
