I tried to kick the habit more than 4 times going cold turkey and failed every time. In those days there were no patches, potions, pills, hypnosis etc. I quit cigarettes the natural way, the same way I started. When I finally stopped smoking, it was like I had never smoked and I have not gone back to smoking since. In my opinion, the simple system I used to quit is still the best way.
