Jimmy A. Thompson, Sr. is President and CEO of Miami Tourist Travel Inc. and local publisher of the Miami Dade Edition of Travelhost Magazine.
Jimmy was a successful advertising sales executive with BellSouth Advertising and Publishing for over 28 years where he was selected to the prestigious President Club for outstanding sales performance.
His new passion is Travelhost of Miami Dade magazine, which will celebrate its 2nd anniversary in August of 2013! He, along with his son Jimmy Jr. and wife Beverly, is responsible for the publication of this well-respected, in-room travel magazine; their motto and goal are: "treat the traveler as a celebrity seeking treasured memories."
Jimmy's commitment to the local community is evidenced by his membership in the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, as well as Travelhost's lifetime media sponsorship of the Actors' Playhouse Theatre.
Jimmy and his family are long time members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School, where he is active in the music ministry as the drummer for the Praise and Worship Team.
