The first time I spoke with Anthony, I was absolutely astounded by how three courageous roommates quit their jobs in from New York and literally jumped on a plane to Southeast Asia. Now, what could possibly compel any one person to do this? Anthony expressed two words – human trafficking. Most of us really don’t want to think of the horrific scenarios of young women being sold/kidnapped/forced into the sex trafficking industry, in fact, just typing these words, fuels a deep sense of empathy towards so many young women and men who are bought and sold as commodities in this industry. At different times speaking with Anthony during this interview, I could feel myself tearing up, constantly thinking about what we as a global community can do to bring more attention and exposure to this deplorable industry. Anthony Dodero is one brave individual and one of the founding members of The Blind Project, an organization empowering women rescued from the commercial sex trade in Southeast Asia. You want to take a look at our interview.
