JOIN THE CONVERSATION - Sat 8am. or join live online by clicking the link or dialing 516-453-6065. Special guest Jane Efua Asamoah shares her new book, My Mommy's Name is Mommy. Jane will share with us WHY CHILDREN'S BOOKS. She says Parents are called to live a life that continually points our children to God. I love to look at it this way: We have been given a responsibility by our Heavenly Father to introduce our children to who their real parent is—God. We must impart to them what we know about God. She enjoys writing in her journal about her unique yet seemingly ordinary encounters with God and people. She was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, and has lived most of her adult life in the United States of America. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Ghana and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She is a full-time mom living in Roanoke with her husband and three precious boys. This subject I believe, is so important because research has shown us that good mental health allows children to think clearly, develop socially and learn new skills. Additionally, good friends and encouraging words from adults are all essential for helping children develop self-confidence, high self-esteem, and a healthy emotional outlook on life. GRAB YOUR MUG AND FILL IT UP, THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT ONE.
