With the NHL locked out for at least another month, the American Hockey League maintains its status as the best circuit this side of the Atlantic. To further explore the AHL, Gospel of Hockey co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder welcome Carmine Vetrano, broadcaster for the New York Islanders' player development affiliate, the Bridgeport (Conn.) Sound Tigers. Matt, Larry and Carmine will discuss how the NHL's labor situation has affected the AHL and if the "Triple-A" league can take advantage of the added publicity to generate long-term fans. The three will also tackle the Islanders' announced future move to Brooklyn, how the Sound Tigers are responding to Hurricane Sandy, and whether the Winter Classic really needs to be sacrificed this soon, as reports indicate will happen.
