I currently work in the "corporate world" here in New Jersey, but my true passion is gardening. I've been gardening for over ten years now and started with a completely bare slate at my current home in rural NJ seven years ago. My biggest gardening challenges are deer, wet clay soil and a lack of time - I have two children (ages 6 and 10) and a job that takes up too most of my time. But I go at it with a passion like no other regardless of all the challenges.
About 2 and a half years ago, I started my gardening blog - An Obsessive Neurotic Gardener - and to date have over 500 posts. What initially started as a journal to share with family and friends, has turned into an incredibly creative and enjoyable outlet. I not only share my successes on the blog, but also my failures and frustrations and that has resonated well with readers.
I have been lucky enough to have my garden featured on the Fine Gardening website and for a time, wrote a weekly column for New Jersey Life magazine. I am active on all forms of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon, etc) and have formed numerous friendships with other gardeners all over the world.
I have no plans to stop any time soon with this blogging venture and have a number of new and fresh ideas on the horizon - including the beginnings of a book.
