When things falter in marriage, it’s easy to blame our partner for the problems and for not doing his or her part. Sometimes it is too painful to admit and examine our shortcomings. It can be difficult to make the necessary changes and our pride can get in the way. But in order to make progress from a low point or the point where we feel “stuck,” something must budge; someone must take action. Lynn’s guest this week is Doug Young, who says, “I’ve been married 34 years and have never been happier.” But, in 2003 Doug and his wife Diane were on the verge of divorce. Diane moved out for 6 months and their marriage was hanging by threads. Listen to Doug tell his story about how he and Diane resurrected their marriage. We will also discuss the issue of separation: does it help or is it a formality when divorce has been decided? You won’t want to miss Doug’s story of hope and inspiration.
