I just arranged this sweet little nativity scene next to my desk in anticipation of Prepare Your Heart and Home for a Great Christmas. Pete’s music captures the longing we feel this time of year, our Advent spent waiting in hope and trust that the promises of Christmas will be fulfilled. Today, the church celebrates one of Mary’s feast days, so we’ll ponder her wonderful heart and waiting spirit as we reflect on the manger in Bethlehem, and the one in our hearts.
