Fabled Christian Leader Clement of Rome died around 100 A.D. But before he left this earth, he made an indellible impression on the lives of Christians that would transcend the ages and flourish even until this current day.
Clement was the first Christian writer to make a distinction between Christian leaders (ministers) and non-leaders (congregation) by coining the word "laity" (all members of the church who are not part of the clergy). This one word has caused irreparable damage to the people of God residing in the pews; many of whom are totally unaware of the gravity of the situation.
This morning on P2T we are going to teach our listeners about the evolution of this distinction, how it has impacted the Body of Christ and how to counteract the negative affects it can inflict on an individual or group!
