In this interview, we get to meet one of the creators of TREPS, Pamela deWaal. TREPS, a trendy term for young entrepreneurs, is the award-winning, entrepreneurship education program that provides the right situation for the kids in your school to become extraordinary. TREP$ gets kids excited to come to school and helps children to think big. TREPS ED, LLC was founded by Hayley Romano (left) and Pamela deWaal (right). Hayley is a certified elementary school teacher who resides in New Jersey with her husband and three sons. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Bucknell University and completed her teaching certification at William Paterson University. In addition to TREPS ED, Hayley owns and operates a summer camp business that offers fun, hands-on educational activities in many fields including Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation. She is an Ambassador for the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education and was a 2005 recipient of a scholarship from the Consortium. Pamela deWaal lives in New Jersey with her husband, son and daughter. After receiving a Bachelors in Business: Retail Merchandising and Management from Montclair State University, her desire to work with children motivated her to return to school to earn her elementary and mathematics teaching certificates from William Paterson University. Her entrepreneurial insight comes from starting her business, Mountain Soul Jewelry, as well as her experience offering educational and social summer camps for children. Pamela credits the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education with fueling her passion for the subject. www.trepsed.com
