My name is Daniesha Coleman aka Ms.Wis. I am an inspiring rapper born in Racine, Wisconsin now residing in
Washington, DC. I recently graduated from the University of the District of Columbia with a bachelors degree
in business management. I’m currently enrolled at the University of Maryland working toward my MBA. I
have many goals and dreams but my love for music has always been relevant in my life. I have a very unique
story that only the great man above can explain. I went to bed one night as always I don’t remember anything
different about that particular night but I awoke the following morning instantly grabbed a pen and pad. That
was the day I wrote my first rhyme. I never had rap dreams or written anything in my life musically. That day
I wrote and produced my very first song. It was like an outer body experience which felt so right. Me being
the person that I am I immediately embraced it. This was in February 2009, since then I have written, recorded
and produced over 150 songs by myself. To be honest, I’m actually really really good at this rap thing. I have
been laying very low while perfecting my craft. I recently found my style and voice which has allowed me to
be versatile within my musical range. I never seen this coming although the love that I have always had for rap
music and music in general is now coming to light through my own music. Many people speak on the subject
that the music industry today lacks female mc’s which is very odd to me because growing up there were plenty.
I know that I don’t have your typical story behind the music, as far as me wanting this music thing my whole life
but my story is REAL.
