April is Financial Literacy Month in the United States.  President Obama has declared it to be "Financial Capabilities Month".  For some people April is "Get Out of Debt Month".  Anyway you look at it, April is the month to revisit ones finances.  Mostly everyone will be filing their income taxes before the April 15th. deadline.  Those of us who are getting refunds already know how the refund will be spent.  In my opinion,  this is Laura Gall talking,  April is "knowing your Net Worth Month!".
