Tina Owen from Milwaukee's Alliance School guests

Join co-hosts Mark McNease and Rick Rose as we welcome Tina Owen, Lead Teacher for Milwaukee's Alliance School as this week's guest.  The Alliance School was the first in the nation to have as its mission "to provide a safe, student-centered, and academically challenging environment to meet the needs of all students.

The Alliance School is a small, charter school of the Milwaukee Public School system. The school opened in 2005 with the goal of providing a safe and accepting environment for all students. The Alliance School is a place where it's okay to be black, white, gay, straight, gothic, Buddhist, Christian, or just plain unique!"  We're espcially delighted to have Tina with us and hear her first-hand experiences about the school, about bullying, about creating and maintaining a safe environment for all kids, and mabe even some casual converation!
