Interview with author VANNA B

Vanna B. is a multi-talented rising star making her mark on both the music and book publishing industries. The writer/recording artist hails from Philadelphia, PA. Having worked as a model throughout college, Vanna gained widespread recognition through her many appearances in national magazines, advertisements, music videos and commercials.

She is known not only for her striking beauty, but also for her incredible skills on the mic. Vanna began rapping in high school. Her love of music and natural writing ability lead to her trying her hand at penning lyrics. Discovering she had a knack for songwriting, she decided to begin recording her songs.

“Like writing,” Vanna says, “music has always been a huge part of my life. Both of my parents are musicians and I‘ve always been surrounded by all types of music.”

Before she began rapping, Vanna also played the drums, violin and piano. Her diverse background makes her extremely versatile, and her originality shines through in all she does.

On the writing side, Vanna says she’s always planned on authoring books.

“All throughout school, from elementary to college, I’ve enjoyed writing and have been recognized for my work. It’s just something that’s always been and will always be a part of me.”

Vanna received her Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Temple University, graduating with Cum Laude honors. After graduating, she worked as both a staff and freelance writer for numerous publications.

Currently, Vanna is promoting her newly-released debut fiction novel, Fancy, while simultaneously working on its sequel. Her passion, dedication and desire for success keep her motivated and working.
