Who is a friend?

Is it someone that let's you run all over them, and is always there to take you back?  No, that's your dog.  Is it someone you are ashamed of when the "cool kids come around?"  Is it someone you tell your secrets to as a best friend, and later you find out they had another best friend?  I am trying to be a little funny here, but what/ who is a friend?

We have all heard the song, "What a friend we have in Jesus.." but why does Jesus need to be my best friend?  How will He find my friends and my husband or wife?  Let's see-
