Join Wendy Manganaro as she speaks with Marilyn Kleinberg. Marilyn believes in Empowering Connections—to educate, engage, encourage and empower individuals towards personal or professional growth. From 2013-2016, I was honored to serve as part of New Jersey's Super Storm Sandy’s disaster relief efforts for homeowners. I managed both my own group of 150 homeowners as well as oversaw the work of an additional 2500 homeowners assigned to Housing Advisors and Closing Specialists.
In 2007 I founded and served as Executive Director of eWomenNetwork Southern New Jersey. This membership based organization grew to over 200 business woman by providing 2-3 events a month to connect and interact and transact business. My real role was to connect, engage, educate, and empower women business owners so they could grow personally and professionally. I won several awards throughout my seven years including the highest honor, Executive Director of the Year.
I began my career at the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey in 2001 as the director of special events and within a year was promoted to vice-president of special events and marketing. In this role I worked with my team to market, promote and produce over 150 events a year, raise $300K a year in sponsorship sales, and oversaw the production of the Chamber newsletter and annual membership directory.
