Loretta McNary talks to Ami Rushes Award Winning Gospel Artist

Our guest today is the award winning gospel artist Ami Rushes.

Author and philanthropist, Ami Rushes, is back with her fifth studio effort STAND UP FOR JESUS, a project compiled of original songs from guest songwriters, produced by Kurt Carr-a first for Rushes who is known for paying homage to great gospel legends by remaking their songs.  

When asked what she wants her listeners to take from this project Rushes answers, "I want people to know that God is a healer, that nothing is impossible for the Lord, and I want people to be blessed and inspired and have renewed hope."  She continues to explain, "I pray that someone who doesn't know the Lord will listen to this new music and hear something or feel something that will cause them to say, 'I want what I'm hearing,' and come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ."

As with all her releases, 10% of the proceeds from the sales of STAND UP FOR JESUS will benefit Save Africa's Children, a charity founded by her pastor, Bishop Charles E. Blake of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in LA, California, which currently provides support to over 230 thousand children, in 400 orphan care programs, throughout more than 24 nations on the continent of Africa.
