On the July 30th broadcasting of the Loisirslit’s Radio Show, we will be showcasing some of our city’s brightest movers and shakers in literacy, arts, theatre, music, fashion, and healthy living. Today’s show is being broadcast from Bin 428, a boutique wine store that sells over 400 wines, microbrews & spirits from every price range and category.  Our guest today include Darrell Greiwe, who is bringing his appreciation for Old World wine onto the shelves of Bin 428 causing this selection to slowly flourish.

Additionally, we have the honor of chatting with Sommelier Brian D. Perkins. Brian is an experienced wine industry insider with an advanced knowledge of luxury wines and spirits.  He is capable of shepherding an idea from vision, planning to strategy, and implementing the idea. He will be showcasing some wines and a champagne from Spain, France, and Italy.  Also joining Loisirslit today is a true shaker; well, a true cocktail shaker. Mr. Marvin J. Allen is an author and true pioneer in the bartending and spirit world.  Located in the Hotel Monteleone, the Carousel Bar has been spinning for almost 65 years. If you are lucky enough to grab a coveted barstool, each 15 minute rotation is the time to meet him. He is here to talk about his new book “Magic in a Shaker”, which is a must-read for any bartender whether they are beginners, experienced, or just a connoisseur of spirits and cocktails.  His book is “seasonal”, but he can explain what he means by that.
