Jim was born in 1978. 7 years later, he saw Back To The Future on opening night in Dolton, IL and was immediately transformed. Since the late 90s, he has been a freelance film and music critic, appearing on WGN Radio and many podcasts. He has co-produced documentary films and composed songs for a wide variety of movies. When he met Patrick Ripoll, he knew he found a movie-loving podcasting partner-in-crime. Together, they created Director's Club in 2011. Pop Culture Club is a spin-off "variety" show that is mainly interview-based in which Jim tries to talk with artists he considers to be monumentally important -- whether it be musicians, writers, directors or actors. Each will have a story to tell about their craft or they will reminiscence about their accomplishments. But really it's all about sharing passion and inter-connectivity through the arts. Jim also works at a thrift store in which all proceeds go to help the developmentally disabled. For fun, herecords music as Garden on a Trampoline and spends time watching too many movies.
