The LizyT show Nina Edwards and Xenia Brettell “Adventures of Difference 5"

My name is Xenia, I am quite a young person and I have always enjoyed reading and writing stories.  I live with my Mom and my Dad in Staffordshire, UK.  I often see my Grandmother (Nina Edwards).  Since I was young my Nan and I have a special bond.  I love animals especially cats, I feel as if they comfort me when I feel tired or down.  I also like other animals in general too, dogs, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs etc.  When I go to my nan’s house I always play with Bessy her dog!  She is a special dog for all our family.  I love writing stories for all people, especially for my Sister, Mom, Dad, my Nan’s and my special friends and for the children who are disabled and possibly teased for it.  Keep going!  You’re your own PERFECT DIFFERENCE!

extensive working experience working with disabled people, and my experience in helping to look after my second granddaughter Leeza who has Downs syndrome gave me the idea to organize some kind of project. It all began last New Year when I was looking through some of our old records and references on our working Calendars. I started to write short comedy stories about different situations that happened with the two men and their three carers which would attract adult humour.

I called my project “Perfect Difference 5”, and the title of my book is “Adventures of Perfect Difference 5”. The idea of this book is to make the reader happy, to encourage you to smile, to laugh and to accept each other as we are with all our differences and imperfections.

We are all in our own Perfect Difference, live on the same Planet and deserve to be treated equally.
