The Character of Revival

Revival is a little understood concept in many Christian circles. Many are under the impression that revival is an event that takes place once or twice per year when some prophet or evangelist comes to town to preach a series of services. While this may be a high time of fellowship and many times signs and wonders will be experienced, is it the total representation of spiritual revival or renewal? I believe that there is in fact much more to revival then this and that there is a certain criterion by which God responds to our need to be revived. We are learning at living Word Christian Center Church that revival is the restoration of the image of Christ to His church and that it is an on going process in the life of believers from salvation to eternity.
