"It is beginning to dawn on us at this perilous moment that moving to a new level of consciousness is NOT an optional extra but an imperative if we are to survive as a species and safeguard the life of our planet." Dream of the Cosmos by Anne Baring

LivingEden and other shows like it are showing us the way as each step co-creates Eden on earth.  This week we will be exploring the spirituality of the rainforests.  One book I discovered, " Wisdom From the Rainforest", is an account of a rainforest forest society, the Teduray, written by an Episcopal priest who became a social anthropologist after a stint of missionary work in the Phillipines. The exploration raises important questions about the fundamental principals of how WE live. The Teduray are a nonviolent society, and to learn how different their underlying guiding principles are from our own is both interesting and humbling. One reader commented, " I never saw a better manual for how to live this way than Wisdom from a Rain Forest."  I found that aboriginal societies and tribes living in the rainforests all have common guiding principles living a spirituality of non-competition, peace, cooperation,  egalitarian, and truly democratic. They also live in harmony with the earth.

Food, timber, raw materials, grazing and gardening land, and medicines are all products of the rainforests which support our life on the planet and rainforests create great biodiversity necessary for us and our planet to survive. We'll explore the spiritual connection with all of these on the show.  Please find pictures of the rainforests to look at while on the show.  Listen to rainforest CD's. We love you so please, email questions, suggestions, experiences to sharonwalker143@gmail.com
