What should you do when you dont feel like your church supports its youth ministry

Many youth workers feel like they're the only ones passionate for teenagers in their church. Or maybe the church SAYS they support teens, but for all intents and purposes, it's really just a side-ministry of the church that's to remain seen and not heard (or maybe not even seen). How do we respond, what do we say, and what steps should we take to start earning respect and gaining support?
